The Glassmaker and the Painter - 22nd May 2015 to 24th May 2015

Di Tocker and Jennie De Groot bring together an exhibition of contrasts, creating time to pause, reflect and contemplate internal thoughts and memorable places.

Di is the Glassmaker; her new glass pieces are thought provoking, slightly melancholy yet uplifting. Fragility of a moment is captured in the medium of glass, combining figures and objects.

Jennie De Groot is the Painter; painting en plein air she seeks to create a personal interpretation rather than a replication. Jennie then develops larger studio works, which go beyond the spontaneity of the plein air pieces and allow her to elaborate deeper connections and capture the spirit of the landscape.

In The Glassmaker and the Painter small glass objects and large paintings contain shared messages of journey, reflection and memory.
