Di Tocker is delighted to announce a shared exhibition with painter Jennie de Groot, opening at ArtsPost in Hamilton this July.

Since 2016, Di and Jennie have met regularly to talk about art, life, ideas and whatever creative questions happen to be bubbling away that week. Those conversations have become an important part of both their practices — a chance to share works in progress, test ideas, celebrate breakthroughs, and occasionally untangle creative knots. Now those years of conversation have found their way into a shared exhibition.

The Painter and the Glassmaker brings together Jennie's paintings and Di's cast glass sculptures in an exhibition that reflects both their individual artistic journeys and the friendship that has grown alongside them. While they work in very different mediums, visitors may notice common threads — a love of colour, a fascination with light, and a shared curiosity about the world around them.

Rather than telling the same story, the exhibition offers a glimpse into two distinct creative voices that have quietly influenced and encouraged one another over many years.

Friends, family, fellow artists, and anyone who enjoys seeing where creativity can lead are warmly invited to the opening night.
