The Painter and the Glassmaker Exhibition

For the last 10 years, my working week starts the same, with a Monday morning phone call with friend and Painter Jennie De Groot.

From our Waikato studios, we chat about everything from works in progress and creative roadblocks to exhibitions, ideas, the ups and downs of running an arts business, and all those little wins (and losses) that only another artist really understands.

Although we work in different mediums, we share a love of colour, storytelling, and a curiosity about the world around us.

This exhibition brings together two very different creative voices that have quietly encouraged and inspired each other over the years. I'm so excited to finally share it with you. It really is a celebration of friendship, creativity, and 10 years of Monday morning conversations.
