Each of us carries an inner world - our memories, relationships, hopes and quiet moments of reflection. The Rooms series is an exploration of these personal spaces, expressed through light, glass and form.
Cast in luminous lead crystal, each sculpture offers a glimpse into an intimate world, inviting the viewer to pause and imagine the story unfolding within. The use of negative space becomes as important as the glass itself, creating a sense of stillness, contemplation and possibility. These are not simply rooms enclosed by walls, but places of belonging, solitude, connection and memory.
As light moves through the crystal, the sculptures continually transform. Reflections shift, edges soften and hidden details emerge, revealing something new with every encounter. Like our own lives, each Room changes with time and perspective.
Every Room is individually created by commission and represents one of the most technically demanding works in my practice. The glass spends four to five weeks slowly cooling in the kiln, allowing internal stresses to relax before the sculpture is carefully finished by hand.
Produced in limited editions of only three, each Room is both a deeply personal artwork and a lasting expression of craftsmanship, patience and the enduring beauty of cast glass.
